Tikvah, for Viola

«Tikvah» was a commissioned composition for the ARD International Music Competition and was premiered there. While working on «Tikvah» (the Hebrew word for hope), the composer thought of the tragic events that took place during the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. The title of the composition makes a small, almost imperceptible reference to the Israeli national anthem «Hatikvah».
